I am one of the many individuals who, from time-to-time, gets siphoned into working seemingly infinite shifts that tunnel my perception and distract me from the beauty of Nature around us.
Sometimes I go for two or three days at time without setting foot on a trail, or in a tree, in a park, in a creek! I start to go bonkers, and find myself rhyming like Dr. Seuss.
The yearning for Nature whispers in the back of my mind. I begin to imagine myself jumping on boulders, climbing up trees, examining insects. My childhood resurfaces, and I begin to feel that same happiness settle thoroughly throughout my body and mind. Ready for adventure!
Comfort in mystery. Instant serenity.
Don't forget your regular visits to Nature!
This image in particular isn't super great but I just wanted to shoot -something- yesterday, so I ventured out with a friend and took a few photos of ourselves before the rain came back. I exaggerated the sky, because....Well, I liked the clouds.
